Amy Coleman is a mom of two under two. She is first degree black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, an active BJJ competitor, having earned an Ibjjf world master title and former professional mixed martial artist for Invicta FC under Ben Harrison. Amy began her martial arts career at the young age of four in Taekwondo. She earned her Senior Third Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and was undefeated for six years in her National Association before attending college at the University of Tennessee. Upon starting college in 2004, Taekwondo was unavailable, so she began Judo under 6th degree black belt, Mike Takata. She remained active and competitive in Judo throughout her college education, earning four college degrees, including her Masters of Science. Through her participation in Judo she also met her husband. Amy earned her Black Belt in Judo in 2010. Other honors include IJF Judo All American from 2008-2010 and the University of Tennessee Varsity Sports Club Participant of the Year in 2005-2008. After teaching 5th grade, Amy ultimately decided that she could serve not only children, but students of all age levels by pursuing a career in martial arts and fitness.
